Acolytes
Our Acolyte ministry has been reformed and is seeking new recruits. Acolytes participate during our 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays
Adult Church School
Meets every Sunday Morning at 8:45 AM in the Sanctuary. Our Adult Church School is biblical based and engaging.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild ministry was established to assist with the preparation of the altar and floral arrangements; to provide the pulpit with pulpit nourishments and refreshments.
Outreach Ministry
The Benevolent Ministry assists individuals and families of our congregation and community who are hurting spiritually, emotionally or financially.
Community Development
The ministry engages in community projects that help to build and maintain a solid social and spiritual foundation in the East Austin Undeserved Community and to work in the long term to develop community development projects.
Hip Hop Ministry
The Hip Hop ministry was designed to entertain, uplift and educate people to
the power of God through Hip Hop.
Ladies In The Making
Ladies in making is a ministry that targets and molds young ladies to become productive women. This ministry also raises funds once a year to provide scholarships for our graduating high school young ladies.
Lay Organization
The lay organization has among its many purpose to instill in the membership a love and appreciation for the history, tradition and principals of African Methodism and fostering systematic and regular study which provides greater knowledge and participation in our church.
Media & Sound Ministry
This ministry serves the audio/video needs of our church. Records all worship services and special events for the purpose of providing quality audio and video mediums for our members, visitors and community.
Men Of Valor
The men of Metropolitan meet every 2nd Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM for breakfast and fellowship.

Women 2 Women Ministry
Ministry meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month. A variety of topics are covered that every woman needs, to meet today’s challenges.
Praise Dance Ministry
The Praise Dance Ministry’s purpose is to reveal and express the word of God in worship through liturgical praise and dance interpretation.
Rights Of Passage Program
The Rites of Passage Program at Metropolitan is a skill-based program designed to meet the developmental needs of young men and women and strengthen intergenerational relationships in the church and community.
Stewardess Board
Stewardesses assist The Pastor and the Stewards in the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. Meetings are held every 1st Saturday of each month preceding Communion Sunday at 10:00 AM.
Women's Missionary Society
The Carrie B. Warren Missionary Society is called to strengthen its faith through mission work and to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ by serving others. Meetings are held every 3rd Sunday immediately after church.
Young People’s Division
YPD provides resources, training and guidance that encourages and supports the
development of young people in their spiritual, emotional, academic and social growth. Meetings are held every 3rd Saturday of the month.
